Notes: Project JENNIFER - Stoney Creek Restoration Project 2010: Students from Stoney Creek Community School participated in replanting native vegetation at the school, adjacent to the school's namesake, Stoney Creek. Students planted native species where invasive blackberries had been earlier removed. The restoration project followed student's participation in a Kinder Morgan Canada sponsored Stream of Dreams project. The project's fish mural is displayed on a fence surrounding the replanted area, serving as a reminder to the children and their families and friends to take care of our water. The restoration project, called "Project Jennifer" by its partners Kinder Morgan Canada, Metro Vancouver, Stoney Creek Community School, Stoney Creek Environment Committee and Stream of Dreams Murals Society, is in memory of longtime Stoney Creek streamkeeper, Jennifer Atchison who passed away from cancer in August 2010.
